Hotel Description
The Sorell Hotel Asora is situated in the family ski resort of Arosa, Switzerland, 100 metres from the main ski area. Arosa is a traditional town, surrounded by stunning mountains and lakes. Zürich Kloten Airport is 150 kilometres from the hotel. Hotel Features. The hotel is a recently refurbished, early 20th century building in white and yellow tones. The front desk (limited hours) operates a currency exchange and a concierge desk will cater to guests' needs. Wireless Internet access is available and there is a dry cleaning service. The Sorell Hotel Asora serves traditional and modern Swiss dishes in the while pillared, classically decorated Orelli restaurant overlooking the spectacular white peaked mountains. There is also a separate children's menu and a complimentary buffet breakfast is provided. The Old India Bar, where the German novelist and social critic Thomas Mann was known to drink his tea, offers a selection of cocktails and light snacks. The resort has a reputation for excellent snow with an efficient lift service. The majority of the 55 slopes and 70 kilometres of pistes are best suited for beginners and intermediates. Other activities include nearby ice skating and snowboarding. The hotel offers a sauna, steam room and fitness equipment. Guestrooms. The 37 guestrooms are decorated in a modern style with walls and bedding in neutral tones and richly coloured carpets. All are equipped with televisions, telephones and wireless Internet access. Other amenities include desks, clock radios, safes and hair dryers. Expert Tip. The 5,000 year old city of Chur is certainly worth a day trip. The most impressive sights are the 12th century cathedral of St Luzius and contrastingly, the bio mechanically designed Giger bar modelled on the Alien films by Swiss artist H R Giger.
